I’m realizing now that if you acquire a preowned horn with its original case, no matter how old or ineffective it may seem, refurbishing the case should probably be a consideration since all of the parts most likely will fit better.
This end piece is exactly what I used, well over 40 years ago before I purchased a “pad saver” (I believe it was called a “shove-it” when I bought it from the Sax Shoppe in Evanston, Illinois back in 1978.) I’ve since purchased a rather, more concise case that doesn’t allow enough room for this otherwise, normal end piece🤪 oops 😄
