The Ibanez AEGB25E acoustic-electric bass boasts a Flamed Maple top with Sapele back and sides. Sapele wood produces a full, resonant tone and adds significant fullness to the tone.
The 3-piece Nyatoh/Maple neck of the Ibanez AEGB25E acoustic bass joins the body at the 16th fret, and features a rosewood fingerboard, and is attached to the body with the traditional dovetail joint. Black die-cast tuners keep the instrument in tune with little effort, and rosewood is the wood of choice for the bridge.
The electronics on the AEGB25E include an Ibanez AEQ2T preamp in combination with the Ibanez undersaddle pickup. The output for the preamp has a 1/4" endpin jack, and a 9-volt battery powers the preamp.
